Bought these to help my autistic child with handwriting, something that's very challenging due to the fine-motor skills involved in it. Even though they have an accommodation at school through the IEP that allows them to type instead of writing by hand, we still want them to master this task as far as they can go. We tried many different methods and the only way they can write more or less comfortably is with thick markers and when the ink rolls easily on paper. Anything else that requires more pressure on the paper or is thinner (like a regular pencil,) it's excrutiating. We came up with the idea of allowing them to use a stylus pen on touch screens and tablets. So far so good! It's working! We hope to once the tracing is mastered, we can start to move to either a thinner stylus, or to paper and pencil directly.I tried them myself and they actually work better than my own stylus pens. Easier to hold, comfy, and plenty of tips. We're leaving one with some extra tips at school so they can use them there, as well.
