Access to the Steven Brundage videos makes this worth the price of admission. I have found techniques for doing similar tricks on YouTube that rely on either a false setup, where three sides of the cube are complete and 3 are not, and you just hide the right ones at the right time. Or another where you have to take stickers from another cube and put those on one side of the cube. They claim to be how Steven Brundage does it. Nope. Not even close. These are great techniques that really do what you see. You'll have a mixed up cube one second, and a completed cube the next. With ANY 3x3 cube.At the start of the video, Steven says that he tried over 20 speed cubes, and selected the one for this trick that he feels is the best. Smooth and quiet. The cube that came to me, however, was neither smooth nor quiet. It's only marginally better in that regard than the original Rubix Cube, and feels, frankly, cheap. It's something I can practice with, sure, but not anything I could get away with using while performing the tricks using his techniques. So eventually I'll spring for a better speed cube. This is the only part of this purchase that disappoints me. The wrong cube.I was pleasantly surprised to find not only techniques for solving the cube that I knew, but also some more advanced algorithms for solving it faster. There's a full 90 minutes dedicated to showing you how to solve the cube, and a "cheat sheet" to help you as you practice. Really great stuff.Overall, I do highly recommend this if you want to learn a pretty cool set of tricks. Just plan on having to also go and buy a better cube.
